The self-proclaimed “Queen of Soul” passed away on August 16, 2018 after her fans and others were notified by the media outlet “TMZ” that the singer allegedly had less than 24 hours to live. After many complications attributed to pancreatic cancer she succumbed to the illness. Unfortunately even after a few doubts and prayers from some relatives she passed the next day. Our prayers, thoughts and condolences go out to her family.
She became famous after impromptu performances belting sounds such as real renowned songs such as,”Respect”, Natural Woman and many more.
In the 60’s she was not only known as a remarkable artist but most importantly for her work with Civil Rights Leaders such as The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Rev. Jessie Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton.
The latter two were their to aide in celebrating Aretha’s life,
long with her 4 children, grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
