Remember When Florida Canceled Daylight Savings Time? So, What Happened?

The Florida Daylight Savings Time Bill passed 33-2 in the Senate and 103-11 in the House. However Congress has to amend the “intent of the legislature that daylight-saving time shall be the year-round standard time of the entire state.”

Until Congress amends this US code Florida has decided to continue to “fall back and spring ahead”. I recall earlier this year and the end of last year, Florida did not partake in the changing of time. Growing up feeling that this was a part of life that only Mother Nature could meddle with my mind.

However, we will be participating until Congress continues their diligent duties.
